Dalziel St. Andrew’s Church, Motherwell

Dalziel St. Andrew’s Church are organising an Organ Recital at our church to celebrate the restoration of our 1900 Walcker Pipe Organ. On Saturday 7th September from 10.00am to 3.00pm

The sanctuary will be open to all visitors. A Flower Festival will be held at the same time. Entry is free.

A Coffee/Tea bar will be open with sales of refreshments. Our Musical Director, Eric Geddes will be joined throughout the opening times by Andrew Steven, David Hamilton, and Sandy Sharpe in playing their own selection of music.

Gerhard Walcker, who has restored the organ over the last three years will also be present.

All are most welcome.

About us Founded in 1962 we’ve been serving Lanarkshire’s Church Musicians for almost 50 years. We exist to promote organ and church music – whatever form that may take! Our membership is small with only 20 or so members, but we represent a wide spectrum of ages and interests. Our aim is to encourage those with an interest in Church music and music in general – especially the young, promote music activities in relation to the organ and build a social network of organists in Lanarkshire, to adapt to the changing needs of organists and musicians and church music in general.
