A Happy New Year to you all.
It is time now to focus on the events we have planned between now and the summer.
Our first meeting will be on Saturday 17th January at 2:30pm in The Old Parish Church of Hamilton. It will be a chance for members to get together. Please bring along your favourite CDs to share. I hope it will also be a chance for a brief planning session so that all the arrangements and publicity are in place for the next two meetings.
In February we will have a talk by Lord Gill , Scotland’s senior judge, on the Recording of Church Organs. This will be in New St. Andrew’s Church, Coatbridge at 2.30pm on Sat.21st February. Please spread the word so that we have a good attendance.
Then on 21st March we will have our Come and Sing Faure’s Requiem event in Bothwell Parish Church. 2pm for the rehearsal, a break for tea, then the performance at 5pm . We need to contact many of the people who came last year to ensure a good choir again. Posters for both events are on the LSO website or I can give you copies . Again please let other people know.
The AGM will be on Saturday 25th April at 2.30pm in The Old Parish Church of Hamilton. We need everyone’s support if we wish to continue as the LSO.
The SFO conference is in Stenhouse and Carron Parish Church on 15th and 16th May 2015. They have arranged a very good programme.
