Only one week until our Lanarkshire Organ Crawl!!!
Please use the form below if you are coming – WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU!!
Saturday 18th April 2015, starting at 11am in St Pauls and St Johns Church, Springwells Ave, Airdrie. Here they have a lovely instrument well suited to the Church. Parking on Springwells Ave is available.
We move to be at Flowerhill Parish Church in Airdrie for 12:30pm. Marjory, the Organist/Worship Leader at Flowerhill has very kindly provided some easy and useful directions from St Pauls/Johns Church to Flowerhill and these are available by clicking here. We will probably all leave together but I will give instructions on the day itself. The organ here is a well proportioned 2 manual H&H instrument. TEA AND COFFEE AVAILABLE.
At 2pm we are scheduled to be at Cadzow Parish Church in Hamilton. There is a small church car park in the grounds, and parking on the streets surrounding. Please note: parking charges may apply. The organ in Cadzow is a versatile Forster and Andrews with additions. John Pitcathley is the organist and may be on hand to demonstrate the instrument.
Finally we finish the day at Cambusnethan Old and Morningside Church in Wishaw, where we will have tea and coffee and a chance to see the Walker Organ in the church, which was originally in Golders Green, London. We will leave Cazdow at around 3:30pm and head to Wishaw. Ample parking in Greenhead Rd is available.
