OrganFest comes to Edinburgh

In October the OrganFest is coming to Edinburgh; an event organised by BIOS, The IAO and The RCO. This year the ESO will be providing sponsorship. The weekend includes: recital at St Giles with Professor Ullrich Böhme, a visit to see the Father Willis of the St Stephen’s Stockbridge, a concert with the Kellie Consort featuring John Kitchen, Choral Evensong at Old St Paul’s and Choral Eucharist at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral followed by a demonstration of the Willis/Harrison organ. There will also be the chance to hear more about the work of BIOS, The IAO and RCO. Further details can be obtained from the website – and the booking form is here –

About us Founded in 1962 we’ve been serving Lanarkshire’s Church Musicians for almost 50 years. We exist to promote organ and church music – whatever form that may take! Our membership is small with only 20 or so members, but we represent a wide spectrum of ages and interests. Our aim is to encourage those with an interest in Church music and music in general – especially the young, promote music activities in relation to the organ and build a social network of organists in Lanarkshire, to adapt to the changing needs of organists and musicians and church music in general.
