Easter Virtual Choirs – from Giffnock and Bellshill

David Fisher, our secretary, is organist of Orchardhill Church in Giffnock.

During the many lockdowns of COVID 19, he was able to undertake an isolation recording with his Church choir for last Easter (2021). They are now able to sing the full cantata on Palm Sunday 2022!

Isnt it just wonderful to be back singing in person.

Our treasurer, Alan Mathew, is organist at Bellshill: Central Parish Church and was able also to motivate some of his choir members in to Virtual Choir during lockdown, and enjoyed singing the Choral classic All in the April Evening for Easter 2021.

Enjoy both recordings.

If anymore of our members have virtual recordings please send them along, and we will gladly share.

About us Founded in 1962 we’ve been serving Lanarkshire’s Church Musicians for almost 50 years. We exist to promote organ and church music – whatever form that may take! Our membership is small with only 20 or so members, but we represent a wide spectrum of ages and interests. Our aim is to encourage those with an interest in Church music and music in general – especially the young, promote music activities in relation to the organ and build a social network of organists in Lanarkshire, to adapt to the changing needs of organists and musicians and church music in general.
