Members online activities

Hi folks

We hope that you are all keeping safe and well during this time

We thought it’d be nice to share some of the activities three of our members have been doing during lockdown and the continuing restrictions us Organists find ourselves in.

Alan, our treasurer, has been entertaining the folks connected with Bellshill Central Parish Church and episode 23 premieres tomorrow!

Our vice president, Derek, has been enjoying exploring the wonderful sounds from Salisbury Cathedral via his new Hauptwerk organ. His videos are proving extremely popular

Duncan Mackay, organist at the West Parish Church also in Bellshill. Duncan’s videos showcase his skills in using his wizardry on his keyboards to show some hymns and song with a different colour.

About us Founded in 1962 we’ve been serving Lanarkshire’s Church Musicians for almost 50 years. We exist to promote organ and church music – whatever form that may take! Our membership is small with only 20 or so members, but we represent a wide spectrum of ages and interests. Our aim is to encourage those with an interest in Church music and music in general – especially the young, promote music activities in relation to the organ and build a social network of organists in Lanarkshire, to adapt to the changing needs of organists and musicians and church music in general.
